Heritage Festival 2023 – Celebrate Goa’s Heritage with Pride

Celebrate Goa’s Heritage with Pride Heritage Festival Event schedule
Goa is a perfect blend of rich cultures and heritage architecture that are shaped by various influences over the years. If you’re looking to embrace this unique heritage of the coastal state firsthand, you should not miss out on the Heritage Festival 2023.
This edition, organised by the Department of Tourism, Government of Goa, will be held from April 28th to April 30th at the Saligao ground in Bardez, North Goa.
Goa has had a unique past, and having been influenced by multiple dynasties throughout its history, it has adopted a diverse and vibrant cultural heritage. Saligao village, where the event will take place, is a picturesque location full of quaint Goan architecture. The village is known for the iconic Mae de Deus church, a gothic-style architecture built in the 1870s.
Heritage Festival 2023 aims to dive deep into the concept of Goa’s heritage and culture and explore Goan art forms such as the Goan mandos, folk dances, nataks, tiatrs, and much more. Goa’s heritage goes beyond the iconic forts and heritage houses and dwells into these forms of traditional music, art, and folk dances. This festival is an opportunity for tourists to experience the uniqueness of Goan heritage.
The event will also lay emphasis on traditional art forms such as pottery making and bamboo basket weaving, as Goan artisans will exhibit their distinctive works during the three-day event.
While in-depth curated sessions on Goan heritage and culture will be a part of the festival, visitors can also treat themselves to authentic Goan cuisines where local and home-grown businesses will set up stalls. The festival will witness some of Goa’s top music bands perform live throughout the three-days.
The Heritage Festival 2023 will strike nostalgic memories among the elderly, but will also aim to inspire and stimulate the young with information about Goa’s heritage and culture.
Goan heritage can take you on an explorative journey, and the best way to begin this expedition is by visiting the Heritage Festival 2023.
Let’s celebrate Goa’s rich heritage with pride!
