The COVID19 crisis constitutes a massive disruption for the economy, and particularly for the travel industry. There is no doubt that the pandemic will represent a major turning point for the future of tourism in Goa.On 20th April 2020, Goa Tourism along with KPMG Advisory Services had launched a state-wide survey among all the tourism stakeholders with the objective of collecting insights about existing issues, current needs, proactive measures taken and expectations from the Government. The survey link is available on Goa Tourism’s website at http://10.190.110.73/covid19survey.
As on date, Goa Tourism has received responses from 400+ tourism stakeholders such as Hotels, Tourism activities, Tour & Travel Operators, event operators, taxi drivers, tourist guides, photographers, and other tourism related businesses and individuals. As Goa Tourism intends to ensure that every voice is heard, we would like to extend to all tourism professionals, who’ve not participated in the survey yet, to take the survey. The opinions of various stakeholders will be helpful in developing a suitable strategy to revive tourism in the State and collectively come out strongly from this crisis.
