Hon’ble Minister for Tourism, Government of Goa, Shri Rohan A. Khaunte has been conferred the “Tourism Minister of the Year – Innovation (Asia)” award by the PATWA, at Berlin Germany recognising his transformative leadership and forward-thinking initiatives that continue to redefine tourism in Goa.
Goa was also honoured with the “Destination of the Year – Rejuvenation” award, acknowledging the state’s efforts to reposition itself through sustainable, regenerative and experience-driven tourism.
The awards were presented by Edmund Bartlett, Tourism Minister of Jamaica and Yatan Ahluwalia, Secretary General PATWA and were received on behalf of the Hon’ble Minister and the Department of Tourism by Shri Deepak Narvekar, Deputy General Manager, Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC), along with Shri Rajendra Tari, Information Assistant.
