Moment of Pride for Goa. Cotigao Village, Goa, has been awarded the Best Tourism Villages of India 2023 in the Bronze Category.
 
Tourism Minister Shri Rohan Khaunte presented the received award to Hon. Chief Minister of Goa in presence of MLA & Chairman GTDC Dr Ganesh Gaonkar and Director of Tourism Shri Suneel Anchipaka, IAS.
 
Best Rural Tourism Competition 2023 was organized by the Central Nodal Agency for Rural Tourism and Rural Homestay, under the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. Out of a total of 795 applications received from 31 States/Union Territories. Cotigao Village stood out as a shining example of excellence in rural tourism, exemplifying the nine pillars of the Best Tourism Village Competition.
