GTDC’s Monsoon Trekking Expedition to Betal Hill , Rumbrem village this Sunday, 22nd September 2019

Specific Details.

This Sunday the Monsoon Trekking Expedition by Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) will be conducted at Betal Hill, Rumbrem Village which is one of the major attractions in the Sanguem Taluka.

This trek consists of a 4 km walk by crossing two rivulets to reach the site which is surrounded by thick forest, cashew and arecanut farm and is situated on the banks of Moisal Dam. The area of the site is approximately 2 lakh Sq mts. One can trek on Betal hill and after climbing the hill one can see the Dam and scenic beauty of the area.

This trek is surrounded by beautiful landscapes and scenic beauty and is an unexplored trek in the wild which promises to be adventurous as there are chances of spotting wild buffaloes and paw marks of wild life. The walk is easy and one can admire the forest with flowing streams, a variety of butterflies and experience the nature at its best.

Pack your trekking bags and head towards an easy and adventurous trek amidst nature and picturesque landscapes. The trekking expedition is open to all especially those with a spirit for adventure and nature lovers.

Transport arrangements have been made from Mapusa Residency at 7:45 and from Paryatan Bhavan , Patto at 8:30 am followed by a pick-up at Margao Residency at 9:30 am. Pick-up at Porvorim, Cortalim and Verna is also available.

Interested trekkers are requested to carry along  an extra pair of clothes, rainwear, trekking shoes, drinking  water, snacks and binoculars.  Smoking and   consumption of alcohol  is prohibited.

The charge per head is Rs. 800 which is inclusive of lunch, transport and guiding.

Please note: The expedition is not recommended for those who are physically unfit.
